Meet The Team
We are a group of high schoolers that have joined this initiative, and started a Break the Outbreak chapter in Wayne, NJ who aim to create face masks and face shields to donate them to local businesses, restaurants, seniors, hospital, care facility, grocery stores, and the general public that do not have much or any. The purpose of our organization is to assist the public in staying safe and healthy in these unprecedented times.

I wanted to be a part of Break the Outbreak for the basic purpose of helping others and giving back to this wonderful community. After losing a close family member to the coronavirus, I felt the need to make sure others are safe during this outbreak and are able to keep their loved ones safe. I decided to be a part of Break The Outbreak for a learning experience and to help others that are in need during this pandemic. When I first heard about this, I thought this would be great for me because I haven’t given back to my community. I wanted to be a part of Break the Outbreak to help others. I realized not only citizens, but doctors and nurses are suffering as well. When I first read an article about how the doctors and nurses are risking their lives every day just to help others I felt useless sitting in my room doing nothing. When I heard about this organization I was eager to help and make a difference whether it’s big or small.

The reason I decided to join Break The Outbreak came from my inner urgency to help others as much as I can. My Cousin, Uncle, and Mother who work in healthcare have had to deal with this virus. Talking to them, I was able to pick up on just how horrendous and damaging the virus was physically and mentally. After viewing the effects on my family members I became driven to make sure that I need to do what I can to prevent as many people as I can from experiencing these things
