Meet The Team

We are a group of high-schoolers from all over Fairfax County who aim to create face masks and face shields to donate them to local businesses, restaurants, and grocery stores that do not have any. The purpose of our project “Break the Outbreak – Fairfax” is to assist the public in staying safe and healthy in these unprecedented times.

Nitya Varigala

Chapter Director – Fairfax County

Break the Outbreak is making a difference and is helping all those who have been severely impacted by this pandemic. They are helping teens serve their community and make a difference which is very empowering. This organization is providing me with an opportunity to give back in this time of need. It is the least we can do for all those who are being impacted and risking their lives.

The pandemic has impacted many people by exposing them to Covid-19. Masks can protect them from exposure, especially people at high risk such as essential workers. Distributing masks is a small but effective way to put an end to this pandemic!

Marketing Officer – Fairfax County

I am privileged enough to have resources to protect myself against COVID-19, and I want to help those who aren’t as lucky. By joining Break the Outbreak, I can protect my community and lessen the harmful impact of the pandemic by donating adequate PPE. If these resources reach the individuals who are constantly exposed to and/or at high risk of dying from COVID-19, it may ultimately save their lives.
